The Armored Combat fighting will use a pool system. All fighters will be grouped into pools and fight round-robin matches against others in their pool. The most successful will advance to the next round of pools. A double elimination tournament will follow with the top fighters from each pool. All list legal weapons will be allowed. Calon Steel (Cut & Thrust) will use the same format.
Mentor/Student and Laurel/Apprentice team projects.
The Arts & Sciences competition for this event will be a team entry. Any art or science item can be entered, as long as we have space for it. Each team must consist of two people, a teacher and a student. Entries will be judged and given points on the usual kingdom criteria. Documentation must include information on which team member did what. There will be two prizes—one for entries by Laurels and their apprentices, and one by other teacher/student teams. To be eligible for the Laurel/Apprentice prize, the Laurel must enter with his or her own apprentice—no poaching!
Classes will be taught all day, starting with Hands-On Bread Making.
